Kerndown

This was a simple in class task using simple laser cut letters that we were given by chance to manually create a name for a business then change the type of business using the kerning. This gave use a chance to easily manually experiment with different kernings of the letterforms to see how much effect the kerning had on the meaning. We where given the letters 'H,  e,  x,  d,  e' so made Hedex.

This game allowed me to realise the importance of kerning and the space between letters, changing this gives a completely different feel to the same name. It can be used to attracts a different audience, stand out more  and overall give really effects aesthetic appeal of the word even with the same letter forms.
