FINAL LOGO
FINAL CRIT FEEDBACK
FEEDBACK ANALYSED
From the feedback i got was a very varied, there was a mixed response to the idea of which logo works best for the brand. This is as many preferred the style of the handwritten text but felt it didn't work as a classic logo, the handwritten is a more casual look that didn't reflect the ideas of the shop.
Serif looks like a classic well established, older, more mature shop, this feed back shows i achieved exactly what i wanted with my brand identity, this is the ideas i want to portray and the feedback agrees.
Some people agreed the idea that my development work was stronger that the final outcome, i wanted to experiment further but only have a limited time so listen to my first crit and took the ideas on from there to work with.
Handwritten works for a more personal appeal but the clean cut idea works better for the current brand.
The clear logo will work big and small, it can be scaled up and down so that will work better for the rest of the work.
Someone said they feel calligraphy has died and isn't relevant to the current market or styles, i wanted to make it more relevant as i feel it will come back, vintage/indie shops are already using it so i feel it will work well for this style.
