For the final part of this project we had to present and explain all the work we did, this meant completing a presentation then showing it to the group. The presentation had be to simple and quick lasting just 3 minutes, we kept the slides as brief as possible, we didn't included much text just words then explained our ideas and thought processes verbally. Talking about our ideas gave us more chance to explain things with more interaction with the audience, rather than just having the group read of the screen, we could talk and react to the audience actions. I was fine with this idea because i'm used to talking about my ideas and presenting to a group, i did it ever week last year so i'm comfortable with the idea. As a group the presentation went well, we all knew what we were explaining and how to express our own individual ideas on the slides. We split the slides into the areas people had focused on most, this allows them to have the most in depth knowledge of what they were talking about and be more confidence as they reproach what they were saying. We all read through the slides in detail before so we could help other when the missed things out, we could then step in if someone got nervous or didn't want to talk. The whole group worked together on the project and had knowledge off everything we did so we knew what we had to say and when before we stepped up to present. We made the presentation 18 slides long, which wasn't short but on them there was about 10 words per slide but made up for with loads of images so they didn't look blank. We used images so we could explain the processes and also show what we did, this gave use stuff to talk about but wasn't boring for the audience as they always needed to listen to understand the images.
I tried to include the presentation in this blog post but the file was a PDF and wont transfer on, so here is just a few of the slides we included.
The slides were simple and easy to read from far away, we used the same colour scheme and ideas that we looked at for our project to link into the same style. We added some handwritten text to the slides to add a more personal feel, this made it less serious but also worked because it showed how we came to ideas and linked with the styles of the hand-drawn ideas. For the last slide we added the logos on the website, this showed the audience how the images would be used in a reallife campaign, it showed them in the situation and how they worked with the rest of the companies branding.
Feedback we received
FEEDBACK ANALYSIS
Research was needed and we did it in-depth, this was seen as a very positive part and should be done for all projects.
Presentation was well spoken, keep pretending to be confidence infront of the class.
Good range of ideas, always create different ideas and show these to the client.
Water droplet isn't that clear, play around with ideas, ask for peer feedback during projects.
