The Mighty Brief

Background -

The Mighty are a social media/website based organisation based around raising awareness for serious illness, either mental or physical. They consist of social media based sites, predominately around facebook. Their aim is to share stores about the illnesses, in the form of art, illustrations and videos to inform the general public about unknown side effects of the issues.

'But when we look online for help, all we often find is medical information. We want a community, too. That’s what The Mighty is building.' more than just factual information, about support and help

'We’re creating a safe platform for our community to tell their stories, connect with others and raise support for the causes they believe in. We are stronger when we face adversity together, and we know it.' The aim is to create on online community and support group where people can talk and discuss the issues.

Brief -

The Mighty have recently post a open art brief they've released. The brief is very open, the outcome can take the form of any art piece, either graphical, illustration based or otherwise, even dance.

'We’re considering creating a section to submit art. We want to know if you would be interested and what you would submit. If art is an important way you choose to share your story, we invite you to submit your artwork below.

Since the term “artwork” can be interpreted in many different ways, we are accepting all forms of art, which may include: photography, prints, collage, digital artwork (graphic design), illustrations, drawings and sketches, paintings, photos of 3D or large work (sculpture, installations, street art), GIFs, music, dance, choreography and short video/film. Just make sure that it is an original piece that you have created.

We will be collecting submissions throughout the month of October and you can submit as many works as you would like.'

The piece will be added to the sites pages, both social media and website so the audience will be those in the community with illness issues, looking for support and those looking to find out more about illness.
