Headers
Do to feedback during the only crit it was made clear that the website design should over all be changed, this is due to the nature that the overly decorative style of the current mock ups make it distracting for the user to focus on the product or on the website. The website designed was too overly powering via the colours, pattern combination therefore distracted the audience from the purpose of the site (which is to sell the products and make it easy for the user to purchase the items) so even thought the site fitted the brief as the aim was ti create a website needed to attract the target audience audience more it hinder the user friend aspect of the site which would make it unsuitable for the client.

VISUAL WAYFINDING/ALREADY NEEDED
Headers on sites are effective the digital version of shop wayfinding signs for the different sections and departments as they do the same thing but via the internet pages, they are used to separate the different pages so the audience is aware of the area they are searching in the same way shops using signs to direct the audience the different areas/hightlight different areas in store. Many sites uses embellished site header for the main page to create attention grabbing pages that all the audience to drawn in the second they view the site then use more modern minimal page header on the corresponding pages to draw attention directly to the imagery rather than the site design where as for this site the visual experience itself and expression of shop in a selected way is needed more therefore the site is about the visual aspect as well as functionality.

VISUAL REPRESENT THE STYLE FOR FEEBDACK
Also currently the design style of the site hasn't been decided on, there are a few different way the site could be designed to represent the range of ideas but the main one has not been selected due to the hardness of representing the style ides for a crit visually (without mocking up all the separate ideas which is very time consuming). Creating these header will quickly express the range of style choices currently being explored for the site in way so visual an audience can give feedback and use the header for comparison to give more informed choice to the style choice to be used.
RANGE CAN BE USED TO SHOW SHOPS DIFFERENT INFLUENCE/DECADES
One of the issues when picking one style for the design of the website is that the shop sell thing from a range of different decades, since the clothing is vintage it has been designed for different trends and years therefore all the clothes have different influences and styles. Having a range of different decorative headers would allow the site to represent these different styles without having to combine them together so its not over powering for the user, have a range of different headers that represent the unique time frame or trends from the eras communicate these influences whilst adding an asethical look to the site which an reflect the busy interior of the site the headers can be different for each page to shows to busyness of all the style in the shop but still make the site usable as it wouldn't over complicate the site/add any unnecessary detail.
IDEA - DECADE SHOP??LIKE TEXTURE SHOP??
Over all using headers as a decorative way to express the shops interior and styles allow the site to hae the needed detail/decorative nature but doesn't make it harder or more complicated for the user as this uses a element of the page that is already included. The headers are used to digital express the range of unique signage in the shop, whilst also reflecting the wild range of influences of the products sold along with the style seen in the shops interior, this is to aim to help the store portray its visual nature without over complicating the site or making it to design busy so the user struggled to navigate it. THE SITE NEED TO BE SIMPLE BUT PORTRAY THE ASETHICS OF THE SHOP, THE HEADERS ARE A WAY THAT DOESN'T ADD ANY OTHER UNNEEDED DETAIL WITH MAKE ITS HARDER TO USE BUT EXPRESSES THE NATURE.
mock ups -
as the header boxes are rather small on issue when applying texture to the site was that it was over powering and looked cheap but how do the header work with texture?
feedback -
use different style for different site page
change the header reguallary
used a combination of them
make they reflect time frame/trends
good way to add detail without over powering the site
the overlapped text one is surprisingly readable but still looks good
allows the site to easily change the design to keep up with trends
the styles are cool
the denium one looks the best, it shows new and old style combined
don't like the 7th one, seem more for a younger female audience
the denium one looks really good
i like the rust one
make them reflect time frames and trends more for the site
the 60's one is really good, very vintage
the feedback was that the overlapped textured header was the most popular, which has given an idea for the textured pages of the site. The textured pages of the site are needed as the welcoming page will open to these, these need to be a collective design so they link together as a set keeping a simailr header is a way to do without creating a too simailr design. Each of the different textured pages will need a header created in this style for the page.
HEADERS WILL BE ADDED TO THE MALE, FEMALE, UNISEX, VEGAN AND OUTFIT SHOP PAGES OF THE SITE. EACH PAGE WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT HEADER.
Texture Page Headers
checked-
sequin
Hawaiian
Velvet
Denim
Tartan
Floral
Leather
This will be used on the corresponding pages, this give then a section style header but also as they are different texture relevant to the section also give the pages individuality.
MAKE THE HEADERS INTO A GIF??
