Currently we have an idea but not a campaign name so this meeting was chance to explore what we wanted to brand the outcome as. To write the slogan for the campaign which would express the idea behind the work and what the output aimed to express.
As again this meeting was just Kate and me we came up wth a few idea between us about the slogans.

Before the type design was created we look at a few example of work and type we wanted to capture the slogan, this allowed us both to have a better idea of what type we wanted for the campaign and to make sure the style suited both of our aims.
We decided on decorative and elegant but readable, has to be readable and it has to be mature, make sure it reflect elegance not to over childlike as too much hand text can be. We wanted it to be hand created type, this is to give a less commercial more playful tone to the work, this to fit with the lighthearted outcome message. Handtype lettering allows give me more controls over the decorative nature without making it illegible, also it means the type will be unique to our outcome as this project is for a live brief with competitors this will give us a way to stand out.

We're starting to become anxious about the brief outcome as the other member of the group isn't replying or responding to any of our messages or been group meet ups in a few weeks. We have dedicated roles as the deadline is getting closer we're worried about if the other part of the work will get done in time for submission as he's not been uni or leeds for awhile . Before the next meeting we'll have to find a way to communicate with him more as we don't want him to feel left out or not to do the set work as this could effect the submission.
