Print Research
For this brief the aim is create a print/ pattern inspired by British summer time flower, this is to visually capture the aesthetic of summer time social drinking and express this in the campaign. The print will then be applied across the campaign in a range of different ways, this will tie together the style of the final output. In the group contract this part of the brief was dedicated to Kate with my help, this was due to her print experience and background as well my aim to learn. Before the print was done research to typically British flowers was conducted this was to get a feel of the shapes and form that should be present.

print research.
Kate is is in-control of this aspect of the work but personal research was conduced we could discuss the style of print aimed, as a group we will all have different visions and opinions of what the final print will look like therefore these images are what i thought the print could look like so i could shows Kate visually what i was picturing and ideas of style we could explore.
group discussion about prints-
As the discussion with kate it was made clear tat some of these print will be hard to recreate or do for this brief as mono print outcomes can be very unpredictable. We discusses how the branches of the flower might be the best way to design the flower as it's the petals that reflect the feminine nature which we wanted to avoid as the brand aims to promote to both gender equally.
After discussion into time management issues we've faced so far the and the up coming deadline for the next meeting we've decided to dedicate more specialized roles as the contract was quite brief, from now one Kate will design the prints, Kieran the layout and i'll focus on the type. this allows us to focus more on our specialist areas. This gives use a set aim for the next meeting and what need to be done for that, research into type that could work for the brief will be conducted for the next meeting. We need to work on our communication as currently we've not had many full group meeting as different members are not in leeds at the same time. To fix this we'll need to have more digital forms of communication with the group so people can be keeps up to date with the project and give their feedback
