Colour scheme associated with the song
To find which colour scheme could work best for this brief primary research was needed into what colour an audience would associated with the song/its themes/its emotions. This information will infer the way the song is portray by the record sleeve, the sleeve needs to represent the feelings of the artist and how the audience feels when they listen as this will help people realise which song it is which the need for a title or name.
The song is based around the themes of heart break, pain. love and sadness, these are theme that are very personal to the audience and after research the current album cover which uses only grey monotones a surgery was need to see which colours people would relate to the song.
For this one of the mock up using different colour schemes was shown to an group of people after they have had the song played to them, they where then asked to pick which of the colour schemes they felt reflect the song best for them personally. The simplest design was used so the audience focused more on the colour scheme than the imagery.

pastel blue white and one other darker colour popular
over all the results how that the audience associated the song which more pastel/duller colours rather than bright bolder once, this maybe because of the softer nature of the song. The over all most popular colour was a light pastel blue, followed by over shades of darker blue which imply this should be the main colour for the sleeve. The pastel blue was preferred for the song because of the sadder undertones and also as the song is calmer.
