examples -

best over all record sleeves
these are a collection of the the most popular record sleeve designs that appear a selection of the different websites, these are taken from the charts of the best designed record covers. As they are the most popular off a selection of websites it give an overall view rather than just one websites opinion to collective show the over all most popular. Most of these covers are for very popular record showing how the design of the record helps with the sale, if the cover looks good people are more likely to buy its as they are interested in the style/ideas behind the cover.

most of these covers have similar features, these are styles that work for the designs to make they popular and famous, because of that these are feature that i will need to include in this brief.
-bright colours
-darker imagery
-photos/people imagery
-title included (cant do this for this brief)
-random/abstract
-range of colours used
-links to the music style

best indie typeless cover
these are the most popular record sleeves that don't include any typography at all, this brief can include type but not the name of the artist. As most of the other research included the type as the name/artists which this cant use looking into not including it will inform how to create a style that fits this brief  whilst showing how to appeal without the use of type (incase i chose not to use it)
