Different Styles of Illustration

For the book the concept is minimal black and white book that will draw attention to the detail and design of the album cover when i decided to do redrawn album covers i think the style should fit with this idea. Therefore the style of illustration i use should reflect at fit this and fit along side the layout, it should simplify the images and help them fit together more, the book need to flow as a set of covers drawing them should help them seem more like this but highlight the design as individual pieces/

As this is book is themed around minimalisum the style that seems best to fit this is a line drawn/simple hand drawn style that shows the aspects of the design without colour or detail. It strips backs the design to its simplest form, almost like taking it back to a design sketch to give the view and idea what the sleeve would look like in its first form, to see how design is created and what it comes from. As this is design sketch idea, the lines will need to be imperfect and seem hand drawn bold but accurate and can be recognised as the cover directly.  

Also drawn the covers make them more personal to me which fits with the brief, adds more interest as it not just another record sleeve book this is a different book. It makes it stand out as more original book, it different than other books i've found.

I feel the hand drawn album covers give a more personal effect to book as it relate it more to my interests with my personal style. It also fits the issues of how i will fit all the covers together, it will make them seem more collective which will help the layout of the book equal out the design aspects. It will then make the design more consolidated design.

To see how i can create a style that fits with the minimalist ideas behind the layout of the book but also shows features of the cover that makes them stand out as appealing covers. Highlight the important parts and fit all the covers with a style.

This artist created detail and depth to the imagery using one line only, all the drawing are created with just one which keeps them fitting a similar style even though they have very different content, its a style  that could be applied to my book.
