Aims for Collaboration
Before starting the collaboration group work a few personal aim will be outlines, this is a personal goals that are what i aim to get out of this project. As the project is to work on live brief this will mean the submission is for a live deadline as well as that it's marked by the client and there is a winner, even-thought it obviously would be nice to win to competition i'd rather use this brief as learning path. Uses this brief a way to expand my personal practice and learn how to work with people on different courses, with different deadline and with other projects along side. As my illustration skills are terrible in the future working with a illustrator, animator and as part of a team will be vital in my professional practise therefore this brief will be used a way to learn how to do this, learn how to work in group communicate with others in professional manner to create a response to a deadline.
aims -
learn about working with a group, working with people doing different things and people with different talents/skills.
learn more print/illustration, currently i hardly use illustration or print therefore using the brief as a way of explore how other creatives can teach but also use there skill in this area to enhance a project response
Learn how to work around other peoples deadline, time tables and how to find a place/time to meet that fits with others work load.
create portfolio work, this brief would be a good chance to experiment with different styles ad working in collaboration with another creative, this will look good in my portfolio as it shows can work well with other and still produce good work
create something that looks nice, for this brief i want to work on the visual aesthetically of my work, this is currently a downside to my practise as i feel my work never look professional or creative but the ideas are there, this group work will allow me to experiment with other to see how to do this and how others can help my practise.
create a piece with a group with different interests/styles/design, in my own personal work i can creative control over what the outcome looks like, what the works looks like and how it's presented, experimenting with including other idea and work will be a good to see how to collaborate in the future
An aim is to create work with a very abstract artist, or someone who's style is very different o mine. this is as i'm very found of work like this but find it hard to produce, working with someone who can doe this will allow me to improve this style and experiment outside my comfort zone.
explore art direction, as a course we have been told to be careful not to take over the art direction of the project as this annoys the other students but this is slightly something i want to explore for this project but making sure not to annoy my collaborators
explore a range of ideas in groups, i feel like sometime my idea are too closely connected as they relate to my interest or personal knowledge or experience therefore this will be a good chance to wider this knowledge and create a response totally different o anything ever done before.
time plan more, currently my time planning isn't very good as i will be working with other i will have to make sure i've done all the work to the needed deadline so this force me to be better at this.
