For the next meeting on Friday 3 developed idea need to be thought off, these need to have a body of research done so the idea can be presentation to a group in the interim crit on the 9th. Each of us are thinking of 3 ideas, so then we can present 9 ideas in the crit to get general feedback. The ideas can be our own personal idea or ideas we have discussed as a group, if possible sketches are wanted for the crit to show visually the group the ideas but these can be worked out after the next meeting on Friday when we'll plan the crit.
The main 3 ideas developed -
Flower bottle design -
This is the most popular idea in the group at the moment after we've talked, it's to create a special/limited edition bottle design for the original Greenall's gin. The British moment this celebrate is the British sunny summer time outside, BBQ's, drinking in beer gardens, visiting drinking at festivals ect. Whenever it's sunny in the UK most people try to make the most of the good weather by going outside with friends and day drinking in different places,this idea is relate by near everyone in the target audience as skint students will goto BBQ where as older millennial will go to fancy bars to drink in their beer garden but both will be surrounded by the english flowers in the outside setting in the sun. The bottle would represent the flowers design seen in wild in the Britain, reflect flowers seen around the country at the height of summertime to represent the sunny positive happy times. The design could aim to capture the summertime flower with a range of different pattern on different bottles to represent the different uniquely recognizable British flowers.
These patterns would then form the basis for ad campaign which would release these different pattern and use the in different forms of product packaging and serve, for example, shelves, beermats, straws ect. This fits with the aim of the brief being to create a diverse piece of creative that can be applied across a range of channels.
This would design would applied to a new audience as it would the brand a more interesting feature that make its stand out on the shelves due to the unique bottle design but wouldn't off put the older audience as it would be built around the old bottle design which the client wants to keep similar. The different patterns would be added over the design of the current bottle rather than replacing it so the product is still recognizable greenall's.

This idea takes little millennial/British specific moments then celebrates them, little things that happen daily for millennial and people in Britain which then can then celebrate by have a Greenall's Gin drink. This would be either a Tv ad campaign or a poster set, could get a wide range of different situation for it, ask options find out issues, create a twitter hashtag, create a instagram page, create a meme across a wide range of channels to fit brief. Fits with sense of humour talks about in the brief.
Wimbledon cocktail idea -
Wimbledon is the major sporting event that is always in the in the UK in summer, unlike the ashes and football this is also in the UK therefore a long lasting British moment watching, seeing and going to it. This is a moment most people in the Uk will pay attention to even if not interested int he sport it's shown everywhere in summer. As andy murray has won two years in a row this is a current symbol of British pride too, as well as being one of the longest UK sporting competitions, it's being running from 1887. It's an even most people watch at least one or even visit, and the famous food associated with Wimbledon is strawberries and cream, this idea to to releases a limited edition cocktail inspired by the famous dessert. A strawberries and cream can of gin, this is to be taken to open air showing of the game or to be sold at the event it's self or just around the same time. Many cities pay the games on big open air fields or people will watch/listen in their gardens so this is to design a specalislly to capture can of greenall's gin for that moment.
