As the major feedback from the presentation is that over all our branding looked to corporate, it needed a more personal arty touch, it was suggest as one of our themes is reverse and traditional print a traditional print method that uses reversed image is a lino cut stamp, this would add a more imperfect less digital feel the branding and as i had a stamp making kit i created a few different stand in the style of the logo, this is the outline for the stamp that Courtney sent me -
As the feedback said it seem to corporate the work that needed rowing was to make it more hand drawn and more imperfect, Courtney suggested that we laser cut the stamp out but i felt this lack the personal touch. Traditional printing all has imperfect little mistake and issues which it and people feel this what enhance the look, it gives a personality and shows it be created by a person not a machines i felt using a laser cutter would work against this idea. Also all the work for the exhibition had be created by hand by the exhibitor so created a stamp that reflect this style would work better to reflect the exhibition.
-handmade
-imperfect
-reflect the basic form of the arrow
-be thick enough to be seen
i create 6 different stamp test for this brief, they are all different sizes and thickness, the one that reflect the aims the best is the last one this is as it thin enough to seem like the existing logo but still can be seen due to the contrast food. This arrow seem the most perfect arrow created therefore will match the existing branding the best, it fits wight the ideas the group want to portray but added a more personal touch thats fit with the feedback better. this logo does over all see a lot more fit for the brief due tot he fact it reflect the traditional printing methods aim for and the style of work created from the same brief.
Final print of the stamp
this stamp will now be applied to the branding for all the social media ect and will be used in the final exhibition to stamp the visitors hands.
