406 Studio Brief 4 - Speaking From Experience - Inside Pages Crit Feedback

Book Imagery taken to Crit

These are the first mock up idea i have taken to the crit, they haven't got the rest of the hand written text added to covers yet but this will be explained, the crit is feedback on the colour scheme, style and overall concept behind the book.

CONCEPT
calming colours scheme to make it easy to read when hangover
slight medical look but add personal twist via handwritten text
helpful, friendly guide due to handwritten text and curved letter forms
slight hearted theme but serious issue when being face, serious typeface used but playful design to add personality
apply to target audience by not being too medical or serious
appeal to target audience by reflect current graphical style/trend via the patterns/text
combine serious with casual
easy to read
positive over all as audience will need thought/mood lifting
speak bubbles used to reflect opinion/quote as this book is quote from personal experience
different bubbles overlapping around the page to reflect the difference of opinions, show how they can be similar or totally different even about a common ground

FEEDBACK

-keep the dots, it make it appeal to a younger maiden and less serious
-include logo about drinking
-reduce the contrast
-explain all design decisions
-make it lightened but safe
- i don't like the overlapping bubbles but i get the purpose
- the dark blue page seems out of place
- the dots seem very calming to me, they reflect lie cath kidson style design which is always cute
-include something about begin safe when drinking as to not promote over drinking, like alcohol adverts do
-make sure you add the other hand drawn text it give a more friendly personal feel which is need for this otherwise it quite depressing
