PRODUCT- a campaign that changes society view on the feminism stereotype
RANGE- twitter, facebook, snapchat, poster and leaflet campaign
DISTRIBUTION- social media heavy, then other areas general public areas/working men clubs/pubs/football stadiums males audeince
The aim of this outcome is to create a campaign that works across range of different media channels as well as print mediums therefor as to link all this aspects together there need to be a common house style branding which can be applied to create the association.
This branding is the aspect that will allow the campaign to be fully intreated across the site yet seen as one contrast campaign.
issue that need to be considered
-social media campaign can easily be change around and used for the opposite purpose due to wording EG MENINIST STARTED OFF AS MALE FEMINIST
-needs to not be a questions (twitter hashtag research)
-need to not say anything unintended (twitter hashtag research)
-needs to be lighthearted theme
-needs to be bright as to stand out
-need no to be feminine
-needs to be strong and bold yet contermpoary
ideas
-this is what a feminist looks like (could be taken the wrong way, made into a meme) (feedback to stay -away from feminist and use feminism)
-this is what a feminist is (could be made into a meme/already exists)
-feminism means equality (too obvious??/direct, cannot be changed)
-feminism means everyone is equal ( bit too disney)
-if you believe in equal rights, you believe in feminism (to long for a slogan/hastag, 140 word limits on tweets)
-equal right is feminism (not grammatically correct)
-feminism because equality (not grammatically correct)
-i need feminism because (question)
-feminism is about equal rights for everyone (too long)
-this is feminism (could be changed on twitter, could be used an as anti campaign)
-redefined feminism (again could be changed of twitter)
-because everyone needs feminism
-everyone needs feminism
-feminism is for everyone
-feminism is me
-feminism is you
FEEDBACK -
-needs to have equality in it
-question will get changed on social media
-'feminism means equality' is very direct, expresses the meaning without room for confusion
-has to be something that cannot be misconstrued
-feminism is you is very forcefull, not accurate
-make an emoji for feminism? have this as the campaign logo? this could be applied across channels/takes advantange of the new social age
-create an icon to go along side it
-look into 'love has no labels' and NFL Kiss
-feminism is seen are girly, direct way to avoid this
-look into minimal swedish design for the branding
-if you believe in equal rights, you believe in feminism could work as a slogan?
Feedback suggested that an emoji should be used as the campaign logo/brand, this is as this new multicultural language which shows a diverse range of people yet DEFINING FEMINISM AS A EMOJI WILL DEFINE IT AS A PERSON/LOOK, if the emoji is female it shows it only females, males shows it as only makes yet the idea of the campaign is that anyone/everyone can be a feminist.

platforms - TV Video Ad
branding -
-very simple to the point
-very bold therefor dramatic
-can be applied to anything/backgrounds/adverts
-genderless
-culture less
-cannot be missinterpreted
works on a range of platforms due to style simplicity, design makes it versatile
uses logo on their site widely
allowed users to share images with the logo
displays there social media following on their site
This is a succesful campaign that achieve the intended goals of this outcome, the aim is to create a brand that can be this versatile over the different medias aswell. This campaign works via the simple nature of the logo/name, it allows it to be understood directly without any need for further explanation or data, due to this it's share as a hashtag commonly on the range on different social mediums.
After studying this the campaign selected for this brief will be 'feminism means equality' as this follows the similar ideas as to work effectively in for the same medium. The campaign needs to be expressive yet direct to the point, it also mean the definition cannot be interpreted the incorrect way or will cause any further wrong perception. The brief for this outcome is to remove the stereotype around feminism which come from the lack of understand of the phrase therefor this directly remove the issue whilst creating a hashtag campaign which cannot be altered by trolls.
