The content of the book effect the production of this book as it influenced the size of the book, the book is created in the same shape as a polaroid image. The content effected the production meaning it linked to the way the book was produced, this give the book an aspect that will make it stand out against the rest of the books whilst it engages more with the audience interested in polaroid imagery via the design. Polaroids are printed on glossy paper this therefore informed the production of the book as it has glossy pages, this allowed the images to be seen as much like actual printed original polaroids but also allow the book style to mimic again the style of the content. As there is a Urban Outfitter store in Leeds visiting a shop in person would allow me to analyze the production of the book sold here as well as the purpose, audience and content which was taken from the description and images online. To get a feel of the style of book this brands sells and how they appeal to the audience via production techniques that can be seen or felt on screen whilst allowing me to see any production techniques that could be applied to this brief. See how the content effect the stock, the colours, the thickness ect could only be done with the physical copies of the books therefore primary research was vital for this module. This trip was slo to see how these book targets the audience of gift books as this project maybe target this audience, what production style gift book use and how they reflect a more quirky funny content in their design.

- has pink edges to the pages to add bright burst of colour to the simple book
-formal style but light hearted message, this is to to be readable and functional but also to seem almost medical/relayable. Instead of using a hand rendered text this type adds a degree of serious factually to the book with make it seem more functional as it will cheer the audience up, it will make them never have a bad day again.
- white space used to create a calming style for the book, the book aim is to cheer the audience up it does this by keeping everything as simple as possible as it aware the audience might be having a bad day/be upset when reading so its made as legible as possible.

one of the feature this research highlight was that all the book has opening pages that were colourfull or decorative, no books open directly on to the content. These book used this page as a sort of buffer between the opening and the content, this should be applied to this publication too in aim to make it appear more professional. -HAVE DECORATIVE/COLOUFUL FIRST PAGES.
