The final page design are created via scanning in the imagery with collage material on the scanner surface, this is as feedback for the first mock ups said they felt too digital as festivals don really use digital media this didn't reflect the idea so it didn't fit for the brief but when showed in comparison the more manual scanned in images got more positive feedback.
the final page design have been made for a combinations of things found at festival, like glitter, buttons, sequin and bottle tops with the original imagery scanned in, most of the pages have been lighted editing in photoshop but this was to lighten or make the imagery more clear rather add to the images.
The pages aim to look like a book the user could have created themselves, like a collage created at the festival and this influences the page design as hand text is used to reflect the personal imperfect nature, random layout have been used to reflect the unpredictable of the environment.
the hand crated text instead of the digital text applied in the first mocks up fits better as it mimic the style of the content, less perfect but fits with the imager better due to this nature. It gives it a more representative look to the copy as the copy is primary advice from other people rather than factual information this style reflect this tone of voice. The text also set the tone of voice foe the book, its used to show the lighthearted informed nature of the experience the give this effect to the pages.
Wide ranges of images are over lapped with text and college textures, this is to show that festival a wide range of things are happing at the same time. Festival are not organized so the audience focus on one thing at once but so that they can can experience a range of different sounds, smells, and sites at once therefore the book overlaps the content to represent this visually.

torn pages from a notebook and map are added to some of the imager to give a break for the heavily visual content, this gives whitespace to the design but in away that relates to the concept. Also as some pages are very dark this is used so text can be added to them as white ink cannot be used.
A notebook and map are used to break up the pages as these are things that are taken to festivals so even thought they have a layout use to break up the pages and balance them out they also relate back to the content and the other imagery used.
some of the pages that from feedback where seen as the best more representative photos take do not have any copy on, this is to draw their subject to the audience attention. The break for the text will cause the audience to focus more on these intended pictures. Also these are picture form feedback where already visual string therefore no text is added so not over complicate already good pictures.
this page is the what will stand for the content page -
as the book has bee decided to be based around normal book structure a content page is needed but as the book page don't particularly need an introductions as they are all about the same subject area this has been changed to be a list of things needed for a festival. The list takes the same format as a content list would therefore is a more contextual substitute as it gives information relating the the concept.It also set the tone of the book as this will be the first college style page the audience sees so it shows a summary of the pages combined together to create a overlook of the book.

again this style of text is not readable,
this design is goo but too different from the rest of the ages, the over lapped text is too attention grabbing in comparison with the the over pages the layout as their quite balanced
this original image was very very dark so it had to be edited heavily to been seen, this has the effect of looking overly edited and as the book wants to appear manual doesn't fit with the style or idea.
