504 - Design Production, A - Z in Content, Colour Scheme

Colour Scheme

The main colours for the book are a light greeny blue used for the cover, then a orange ink screen printed on the front then a simailr orange used for the string and the first page (eventhought this is shiny).
A benefit of print is that the first page can be shiny but this means that digitally it is hard to match the colour scheme to this material a the direct colour cannot be found.

the cover colour and the ink colour -

the GFSMITH stock used for the inside pages is -

The blue will reflect the sky in the image but this also link to the other colour of neon/bright orange which will be uses to represent the sun in this scene, letting the colour scheme fully represent positive weather day at the festival rather then a miserable raining setting which would have negative connotation or memories as the book aims to remise the more positive part of the weekend.

The orange is used to link to the sun in mages but also contrast the blue enough to add more excitement to the book design, the orange is engaging, bright, eye-catching colour to will drag the attention of the audience. A bright orange is seen heavy in the images as this colour is heavily use in camping gear so that it can be seen in the environment, it stands out against the green situation to make sure it seen as it the contrasting colour. This is seen seen thought the tents at the festival as well as in the signs for the orange camping space where some of the content was taken.

Mass Production Features -

For the publication to be commercially produced it will need to identify the main colour scheme colors in the  Pantone colour scheme as a number, this is as from the Pressiosion visit and from the indesign section it has been made clear that to always get the exact aimed version of the colour Pantone is the most actuate printing system which is used in commonly in the UK. The current colour scheme has been matches as much as possible digitally using the Pantone swatches and the online site. These are the final colour decribiton for the colours shade that make it the books scheme, these would be used if the book was being mass produced would be sent to a printer for the production or to the screen printer for the cover screen print.
