Fine Art Logo, Course Research

Course Research

This is a very open brief, with no information being given by the client, besides the name SYZYGY with does not explain the concept as the client aims for a range of responses . Due to this, to represent the course research will be completed into the style of work produced, the course and what themes/idea the work fits. The aim of this to ensure the work is represented via the logo but also to allow the logo to work along side the work when presented at the shows/in the booklets.

-contemporary strategies and thought in art practice
-emphasis on craft and skill

-different idea, different people
-share ideas
-comunity
-different disciplines
-range of idea/styles
-abstracted work

WORK RESEARCH-

2017 show

 2016 show

2015 show

overall feedback-
not similar aspects of the work really
covers range of disciplines, 3d/paint/video
colourful/block colours
very free

After studying the work it's clear that to design a logo for this brief will be hard as it does not follow one theme. Due to the wide range of work and idea the logo should not represent any one piece, or one idea.

Past Shows Logo

After the work was so varied another source of research was conducted to see what the client is aiming for, research into the past fine art show and their logos. Unfortunately this was not available, the fine art show has only been designed as part of the uni show before. As fine art logo does not exist, instead the overall college show design was studied for inspiration.
